Kapalua LPGA Classic - 3rd Round

Morgan Pressel, Jee Young Lee, Brittany Lang and Carin Koch are tied for the lead at -5 going into today's final round of the Kapalua LPGA Classic.  Suzann Pettersen, Laura Diaz, Sun Young Yoo and Il Mi Chung are tied for fifth at -4, one shot behind.

Saturday's scoring was the best of the tournament so far, with eight players in the 60s and 22 total under par.  Nobody bettered Pressel's round of 67, which featured an eagle at the par-5 15th along with five birdies.  Morgan is bidding for her first win since last year's Kraft Nabisco and her first Top 10 since Wegmans in June.  Koch birdied three of the last four to post 68 and move into contention for her first win since 2005.  Lee and Lang each carded their three straight rounds under par.  Brittany has yet to win an LPGA event while Jelly is looking for her first win since winning the 2005 CJ Nine Bridges as a non-member.

20 players begin the final round within four shots of first place, giving us all the makings of a Sunday Free-For-All in Maui.  The first groups will be teeing off in the next few minutes and I plan to follow the board throughout, although my watching of tonight's TV coverage may have to wait until tomorrow evening.
