Bell Micro 1st Round (Game) Thread

One feature of SB Nation that I'd like to try out with the new HD Blog is the "Game Thread", where readers are encouraged to post comments as the action unfolds.  Of course the title doesn't quite fit the golfy format and a "Tournament Thread" posted on Thursday would get somewhat buried by Sunday.  I guess I'll call them "# Round Threads" but if anybody has an opinion of how I should manage these (should I do them all four rounds or only on the weekend), fire away.

Anyway, as you follow the leaderboard at LPGA.com (you all do that, don't you?) today and watch first-round coverage on Golf Channel this afternoon, feel free to comment here.

I'll jump-start it with...

Golf-babe Anna Rawson went out in 32 (playing the back nine first) and she currently leads by one shot over Sophie Giquel. Rawsonites rejoice!

it's early

but it’s nice to see Stacy Lewis hanging only two shots back through 13.

update

The first groups are finishing up. Rawson posted 67 – tied with Castrale at -5 and leading Yani Tseng and Shanshan Feng (both with a few holes to play) by one. Danielle Downey a bit of a surprise with a 69. Lewis got in with 70.

way to go, Danielle!

Considering she started with a double, that’s a great 69 for her!

Tseng back on track

Yani with a 69 (she missed the Safeway cut), two shots behind. As the GC coverage is about to start, Rawson and Feng are tied in the house at -5. From the afternoon groups, Kristy McPherson is -3 thru 8.

Wow, I cannot believe Paula’s score. Conditions must be harder in the afternoon.
