Q-School 3rd Round

Sun-Ju Ahn and amateur Anna Nordqvist are tied atop the field at -12 after three rounds at the LPGA Sectional Qualifyer.  Miki Saiki is third at -9, Michelle Wie is fourth at -7, Shiho Oyama is fifth at -6 and Stacy Lewis is sixth at -5.

Nordqvist posted her second straight 67 as Ahn put up 72 on Thursday.  Both have a 16-shot cushion on the Top 30 cutoff line (+4 is T33) with 18 holes to play.  I'd say they ought to feel good about their chances!  Given their current positions, all those I mentioned in the first paragraph would have to score in the 80s or worse tomorrow to lose their spot in the Finals.

Those who aren't quite as secure yet include Angela Buzminski (-2), Tania Elosegui (-1), amateur Mika Miyazato (-1 and no relation to Ai), Briana Vega (+1), Ashley Prange (+1) and Becky Brewerton (+3 and T28).  Needing a below-par round desperately tomorrow are Maru Martinez (+4), Kelly Lagedrost (+5), Henni Zuel (+7) and Natalie Tucker (+7).
