Samsung field announced

The field for the Samsung World Championship was officially announced yesterday and it included Angela Stanford, the 18th-place player on the LPGA money list.

My confusion over the qualifying procedure was cleared up by this sentence in the article:

Annika Sorenstam (officially qualified as the leading "active" LPGA Hall of Fame member on the LPGA Official Money List)

Since Annika (who ranks second on the money list) got the Hall of Fame spot, that left a position open for Stanford.  My only remaining question:  If they were going to give that spot to Sorenstam all along, why didn't Samsung announce it in advance like they did with the sponsor's exemption they gave to Juli Inkster?

Do me a favor next year, Sag - please don't ask me to track who's in or out of the Samsung field again.  I don't need the headache!

Samsung Field

Looks like a great field. I am going with Suzan Pettersen for the win, she is about due.

My fav Natalie Gulbis is out of the Navistar. This will give her a few more weeks to R&R to give her back a chance to heal. Get well soon Natalie
