Wie Wins! (and oh yeah, I decided to start posting again…)

Wie01_medium

Congratulations to Michelle Wie on her first professional victory, at the Lorena Ochoa Invitational!  It seems somewhat ironic that the teen phenom who so many have raved about would wait until she turned 20 to earn that breakthrough victory.  The first of many, to be sure.

After two months of self-imposed exile, I have decided to resume posting here at HDLPGA.  My output won't be nearly as frequent as it used to be but I hope that won't disappoint you guys too much.  I have been keeping my stat sheets updated and with the season's final event this week, I thought the leisurely pace of the off-season wouldn't tax my available free time too much.  Besides, it wouldn't be December without Player Profiles now would it?  By the way, SB Nation will be launching another LPGA blog soon, headed up by Jamie Saengsawang (lately of Jamie in the Rough).  Between us and The Constructivist (who has soldiered on admirably in my absence), we should have everything covered in the Female Golfy World.

I'll have a couple of Player of the Year posts up (Rolex and HD) later this week and my final 2009 player rankings hopefully next week.

WOO-HOO!!!!!!!

I was hoping Michelle’s victory might prompt you to get back to the blog. It’s so very good to have you back.
