‘Tis The (Off) Season
The holidays are here so it's time for me to take a break. I know, I already took a long break recently which severely curtailed my readership but this can't be helped. Besides, it will only be for a week or so as our family travels to visit more family.
Before I leave you, I'd like to thank everyone who stuck with me. After two months of nothing I appreciate you guys checking back to see that I returned. A lot of sites would have been left for dead. I'll still have to budget my free time moving forward so most likely the tournament previews and recaps will suffer. Don't fault me if I don't get to see any coverage of this tournament or that. I'm planning to use what time I have to analyze the results and write about stuff you don't see anywhere else.
Thanks to Tyler at SB Nation for not firing me. The check I got last week came in very handy. Thanks to The Constructivist for carrying the load at Mostly Harmless while I was out. Thanks to Awsi Dooger for pointing out the importance of focusing on the big picture stuff in order to better manage my blogging time. Without you three and the many compliments I got when I left, I wouldn't have even tried to return.
I hope your holidays are happy and safe.
Ken

The player capsules are a great example of your valuable input
I don’t think I’ve read half of them so far, but I’ve already picked up many helpful tidbits.
Happy Holidays, Ken. And thanks for the mention. I’m glad my advice helped. Play by play is always valuable. Your unique perspective is as an analyst.
I agree with Awsi Dooger
The previews and recaps are great, but your statistical analysis is totally unique and sets you apart, just as the Constructivist’s superb global perspective sets him apart. I was gutted when you hung up the keyboard so am thrilled you can still blog.
