Honda LPGA Thailand - 2nd Round
Brittany Lang (-7) posted her second straight round in the 60s to take a one-shot lead at the Honda LPGA Thailand. Paula Creamer and Morgan Pressel are tied for second at -6 while Angela Stanford and Jin Joo Hong are tied for fourth at -5.
Lang's first 36 holes at Siam Country Club have featured seven birdies and no bogeys. Pressel birdied five times along the way to her 68 while Creamer overcame two early bogeys to post 70. First-round leader Hong bogeyed her first three holes but came back to card a 73. Friday's biggest mover was Hee Young Park. Starting the day at +7 (tied for last), Park birdied six times in a seven-hole stretch en route to a 64 and now stands at -1 T19. Hee Young's round was three shots better than any other on Friday as Eun-Hee Ji and Mika Miyazato each posted 67 to reach -4 T6. Lorena Ochoa, Helen Alfredsson and Kristy McPherson join Ji and Miyazato in the tie for sixth.
Looking a little further down the board, Candie Kung's 69 moved her to -2 T16. Ji-Yai Shin carded her first sub-70 round of the year - a 69 puts her at even par, T26. Shanshan Feng moved up to +2 T35 with a 70. Suzann Pettersen's woes continued - 73 leaves her at +6 T52. Song-Hee Kim fell to +7 T56 with a 75. With no cut this week, the players at the bottom of the board still have 36 holes to get on track.
