Not the LPGA, but...

...the posts and discussions at Waggle Room about the match play format, why much of the media and fans don't like it (and why they should) and what could be done about it are definitely worth a read.

My two cents?  Anybody that thinks stroke play is more exciting than match play is a fan of players, while the opposite is a fan of golf.  There is infinitely more strategy and intrigue in every one-on-one match than in an entire medal play event.  And the LPGA needs to utilize that format more than once every two years at Solheim time.

Too bad HSBC snuck in an announcement that the Women’s Champions “supercedes” the Women’s World Match Play in their tournament history….
