2009 Corning Classic will be the last

The 2009 Corning Classic, a 31-year staple of the LPGA schedule, will be the final edition of that popular event.  There isn't anything positive to say about it, so I won't say anything at all.

Not much can be said

I think the LPGA commissioner has let the ladies down. She should be bringing in people (which means men or women, not just women) to help sponsors find was to benefit more from being a sponsor than just someone who writes Large checks. It will be interesting to see how she survives this year.
