U.S. Open - Saturday Live-Blogging Part 2

3:45pm - Lu just short from 15 feet at 14.  Choi birdied from four feet at 10 to +1, only down by three.  Hole #10 is playing only 253 yards today.  Creamer took driver and landed in the bunker 40 yards short of the hole.  Kerr played a hybrid into perfect position.

3:55pm - The rainy weather is on the way.  Maybe within the hour.  Wind is picking up too.  Kerr put her approach at 10 to five feet.  Creamer killed her bunker shot 30 yards over the green.  Her chip back came up short into the thick rough.  Her second chip also came up short.  Her fifth shot to the par-4 reached the green but was still 15 feet short of the hole.  Lu had seven feet for birdie at 14 but missed it right.  Reynolds had 18 feet at 11 and curled it in for a birdie to go -1 and draw within one.  Creamer missed right and took triple-bogey.  Kerr missed her birdie left.

Star-divide

4:05pm - Ji's approach at 12 stopped six feet away but she missed it right.  Sergas made an 18-footer at 12 to turn the tables, back to +3.  Lincicome birdied 13 and 14 and returns to +4, which is tied for ninth with...Kyeong Bae!  We'll see how much higher +4 goes before it starts raining.  Time for a leaderboard update:

-2  Kerr

-1  Reynolds

+1  NY Choi

+2  Lu, HY Park, Ji

+3  Kung (F), Sergas, IK Kim

+4  Bae (F), Creamer, Lincicome, SH Kim

4:15pm - Kerr lipped the hole from over 50 feet at 11 and made par.  Creamer missed from five feet to take bogey at 11, +5 and +7 on the day.  Lu at 16 saved par from six feet.  Choi at 12 missed left from 15 feet.  Also at 12, Reynolds from 10 feet to tie for the lead missed it left.

4:20pm - Lincicome bogeyed 15, drops to +5.  +5 is now T12 - when Pressel finished at +5 a couple of hours ago, she wasn't even in the Top 20.

4:25pm - Park took bogey at 16 (now +3) when she chipped 25 feet past the hole.  Choi found the creek left at 13.  Pettersen birdied 16 to climb to +4.  Sergas bogeyed 13 (+5 in her last 10 holes) to go +4.  At 12, Kerr missed left from 18 feet.  Creamer had nine feet for birdie but just missed left.

4:35pm - Choi saved bogey at 13 from four feet.  Falls to +2.  Ji made birdie from 12 feet at 14 to go +1.  Lu just finished with a 70 and stands tied for fourth at +2.

4:40pm - Kerr chipped her third at 13 and hit the pin.  Would have gone way past otherwise.  Tapped in for par.  At 14, Reynolds has eight feet for par after barely clearing the hazard off the tee.

4:45pm - Inky made birdie at 17 from 15 feet to join the tie for fourth at +2.  Reynolds keeps on keeping on - made her par at 14.  Here's the latest:

-2  Kerr

-1  Reynolds

+1  Ji

+2  Lu (F), IK Kim, NY Choi

+3  Kung (F), HY Park

+4  Bae (F), Pettersen, SH Kim, Sergas

4:55pm - At 18, Lincicome's approach stopped four feet away.  The birdie finishes a round of 73 and she's +4.  Kerr came up short on her 20-foot birdie try at 14.  Creamer saved par from six feet.  No rain yet but the radar shows it getting close.  At 15 Reynolds putting from the fringe came up five feet short.  And missed it left, running five feet by.  Made her bogey, even par and down by two.

5:05pm - Yuri Fudoh collapsed today, shooting 80 to go +11 on the tournament after being in the hunt early in the day.  Kerr's approach to 15 stopped two feet away.

5:10pm - Creamer keeps saving par (15 was from 10 feet) to keep herself from totally falling out of this.  Kerr taps in the birdie to go -3 and back up by three shots.  Reynolds at 16 had 20 feet for birdie but missed it right.  Kerr drove into the rough at 16.

5:15pm - Choi bogeyed 16 and drops to +3.  Only three players are closer than six shots from Kerr.  Ji makes birdie at 17 from six feet and is even par, tied with Reynolds.  Kerr's lie was not bad but she dropped her approach into the bunker.

5:25pm - Kerr only 1 of 5 in sand saves this week.  Almost hit the pin with this one, though it went five feet by.  Reynolds from the bunker at 17 played well but still over 20 feet away.  Ji into the rough off the tee at 18.  Reynolds left her par putt four feet short.  Kerr missed her par putt left, the lead is two.  Reynolds made her bogey but stays three shots back.  NYC three-putted for bogey at 17 and is now +4.

5:30pm - Great tee shot by Kerr at 17 but the ball released to about 25 feet away.  Ji made a great chip at 18 and a four-footer for par puts her into the final group tomorrow at even par.

5:40pm - Looks like somebody made a good call today by not moving up the starting times.  I was worried about the rain but it's held up so far.  Uh oh, the weather warning signs were just put out for the gallery.  Kerr putted about four feet past at 17.  Reynolds' approach at 18 into a bunker.  Creamer couldn't save par this time - bogey at 17 drops her to +6.  Reynolds blasted to about 15 feet.  Kerr made her par.  Just started to rain.  Reynolds missed her par putt and finishes at +2 and a round of 74.

5:45pm - If it's raining at all, it's barely drizzling.  Choi bogeyed 18 when she missed from five feet (third straight and four out of six) to finish at +5 T11.  Creamer could join that tie for eleventh if she birdies 18 but she came up just short of the green with her approach.  Kerr pulled hers to the left side of the green maybe 40 feet from the hole.

5:55pm - Kerr lagged to three feet.  Creamer putted from off the green and came up 18 inches short.  Tapped in for par, finishing with 79 and +6.  Now it's raining harder.  Kerr made her par and leads by two going to Sunday.
