U.S. Open - Sunday Live-Blogging Part 2

4:05pm - As we pick up the action, Kerr and Kung are tied for the lead at even par, Lincicome and Inky are +2 and Ji is +3.  All with at least five holes to play.  Lincicome two-putted from 45 feet to make par at 14.  Creamer just finished with a 69 at +4.

4:10pm - Kung's approach at 13 stopped about 10 feet from the hole.  At 15 (drivable par-4 today, 239 to the front), Lincicome yanked her tee shot way left.

4:15pm - Kung putting to take the lead at 13, came up a foot short.  At the par-5 12th, Kerr had 230 to the hole for her second pulled it left into a bunker.  Lincicome chipped to about 20 feet at 15.  Brittany left her birdie try at least five feet short.  Jennifer Song finished +7, low amateur.

Star-divide

4:20pm - Kerr's third from the bunker at 12 spun to stop about six feet past the hole.  Lincicome saved par at 15.  Inky's approach to six feet at 15.  Kerr's birdie putt to regain the solo lead missed left.

4:25pm - Ji missed a birdie putt from six feet at 12.  Kung two-putted for par at 14.  Inky missed her birdie right at 15.

4:30pm - Lincicome from the ice cream stand (seriously!) to the right of the 16th fairway made the front edge of the green.  Kung chose to layup at the short 15th but missed the fairway right.  Ji's approach to two feet at 13.  Kerr's approach at 13 missed the green right, into the rough.

4:40pm - Kerr's chip from a good lie rolled up to four feet.  Kung also a good lie at 15 dropped her approach into the rough short of the green.  Kerr missed her par putt right, falls to +1.  Lincicome missed for par from three feet at 16.  Kung chipped nicely to six feet.  Ji tapped in her birdie at 13 and is now +2.  At 17, Lincicome's tee shot landed about 12 feet away.  Kung's par putt at 15 drops to stay in front by one shot

4:45pm - Inky curled in a 10-footer at 16 to tie Kerr for second at +1.  How about a leaderboard update?  It's pretty simple now:

E   Kung

+1  Kerr, IK Kim

+2  Ji

+3  Lincicome

4:50pm - Lincicome missed her birdie putt at 17 on the high (right) side.  She now has to birdie 18 to have any real chance.  Kerr's approach from the left rough at 14 chased through to the back fringe.  At 17, Inky left her tee shot nearly 50 feet from the pin.  Kung had to hack out of the right rough to get back into the 16th fairway.  Kerr putted from against the collar and rolled it 10 feet past.

4:55pm - Kung's third spun back to 10 feet.  Inky's long putt at 17 rolled to the back fringe 10 feet away.  Ji dropped a birdie from at least 40 feet at 14 to go +1!  Kerr snuck her par putt into the right side.  Inky slammed home her par putt at 17.  Three-way tie for second.  Lincicome sets up a birdie chance at 18, maybe 10 feet away.  Kung to stay alone in front, rolled it in perfectly.  This is getting real good.

5:00pm - Ji played smart at the short 15th, laying up perfectly.  Kerr layed up too but found the left rough.  Inky drives into the rough at 18.  At 17, Kung's tee shot found the short-side bunker.  Lincicome missed her birdie right at 18.  Finishes at +3.

5:05pm - Kerr's approach at 15 to 12 feet.  Inky was in the fairway bunker at 18 and barely reached the front of the green.  Kung's bunker shot at 17 almost hit the pin but rolled to the fringe about 15 feet away.  Ji's approach at 15 about 20 beyond the hole.

5:10pm - Ji's birdie putt at 15 to tie for the lead just missed left.  Kung to save par at 17 just came up short.  Inky putted (actually from several yards off the green) and came up woefully short.  Kerr's birdie at 15 came up just short.  We now have a four-way tie for the lead.  Inky had more than 30 feet left for par at 18 and came up three feet short.  Made bogey but leads in the clubhouse at +2.  She's not out of this yet.

5:15pm - So Kung is playing 18, Kerr and Ji are playing 16 and all three are +1.  Inky is done at +2.  Kerr in the rough again off the tee, to the right.  Her approach landed about 10 feet from the hole.  Kung's approach didn't quite make the back tier and rolled back to about 30 feet.  Ji from the fairway played to six feet.

5:25pm - Kerr missed her birdie putt at 16 badly to the right.  Ji's putt slid by the left side.  Kung's long attempt at 18 cozied up to a foot.  Finishes +1 to eliminate Inky.  Kerr had four feet down the hill for par, burned the right edge.  +2 and down by one.  Advantage Eun Hee Ji.

5:30pm - Ji's tee shot at 17 to about 25 feet short of the hole.  Kerr's landed about five feet shorter than that.

5:35pm - Kerr's putt missed right.  Ji's putt to take the solo lead missed left and rolled about four feet by.  Eun Hee saved par.  Kerr made her three-footer, still down by one.

5:45pm - Tee shots at 18.  Ji played to the center of the dogleg.  Kerr apparently was trying to rip a driver over the left-side bunkers and slammed her club in disgust after striking it, but her ball ended up right next to Ji.  Weird.  Ji's approach made the back tier about 20 feet left of the hole.  Kerr's landed on the green in the trough 30 feet short of the hole (a la Inky and Kung a few minutes ago).

5:50pm - Kerr has to make birdie for a chance at a playoff.  Missed left by about two inches.  Ji for birdie to win the championship.  Rolled it home!!!  Eun Hee Ji wins the U.S. Women's Open!  Kerr tapped in her par to finish tied for third.
