Friday Foursomes Pairings

Here they are:

Christina Kim/Natalie Gulbis vs. Suzann Pettersen/Sophie Gustafson

Angela Stanford/Nicole Castrale vs. Becky Brewerton/Gwladys Nocera

Kristy McPherson/Brittany Lincicome vs. Maria Hjorth/Anna Nordqvist

Paula Creamer/Juli Inkster vs. Catriona Matthew/Janice Moodie

Davies probably played her way out of the late matches.  Kerr played great this morning but I completely agree with Daniel's policy of "nobody plays five".  I don't know if Lincicome was Beth's original choice to play but she certainly earned it with her four-ball performance.  If Hjorth doesn't get turned around from the bad back-nine she just played, Match #7 could be an easy one for the Americans.  The last match could be a classic, but Inkster has to strike the ball better.

Team U.S.A. leads 2.5 to 1.5 as the foursomes tee off an hour behind schedule.  No weather delays, just slow play delays.  I'll be driving home for the next hour so I'll pick up the action in a new Live-Blog post when I get there.
