New Event Near Charlotte?

Ron Green of the Charlotte Observer reports that the LPGA is in negotiations to bring an event to Tega Cay, South Carolina (just south of Charlotte, NC) as soon as next October.  First Wegmans re-ups, then the Farr, now this.  Am I dreaming?  Or is Interim Commish Evans really that good?

By the way, I grew up in Charlotte and my parents still live there so I'll have a great place to stay when this actually happens!

I'd be curious

what the status of these events were at the time Gen. Evans took over. I would be surprised if there had not been contact between the principals and some progress made toward a deal prior to Bivens leaving…

...from the land of pleasant living, Baltimore.

I doubt Bivens had anything to do with this

The best clue may be the proposed $1.1 million purse, a number which wouldn’t have gotten in the door with Bivens around.
