Navistar Classic - 2nd Round

Cristie Kerr, Na Yeon Choi and Mika Miyazato are tied for the lead at -12 through two rounds of the Navistar Classic.  Brittany Lincicome is in fourth place one shot behind while Amy Yang is in fifth, two shots back.

Kerr, who held the solo lead after Round One, followed up with a 67.  Four straight birdies to close out her first nine (15 through 18) moved her to -11.  Her back nine wasn't as productive, as she bogeyed the par-5 5th and only birdied twice.  Mikan had the Round of the Day, a bogey-less 63 to tie the event record.  She ran off five straight birdies on the front (2 through 6) and another streak of four (13 through 16) on the back.  Choi nearly matched Miyazato - NYC's 64 featured a back-nine 30 with four straight birdies to finish up.

Dorothy Delasin wasn't able to maintain her first-round pace but she did manage to snap her long MC streak.  Dot's 73 has her at -5 T30, along with Morgan Pressel who also slipped to a 73 on Friday.  Anna Nordqvist, who shared second place with them at the beginning of the day, also fell back some but a 70 only knocked her down to -8 T10.

Star-divide

Conditions have been nearly perfect over the first two days, with only occasional doses of wind disrupting the low-80s temperatures.  For the first time in awhile, the cut was under par - minus-2 to be exact.  Going home are Stacy Lewis, Laura Davies, Kristy McPherson, Stacy Prammanasudh and Sophie Gustafson.  I promised to keep an eye on the bubble players - the ones in the races for the money list Top 80, 100 and 125 - so here are the ones who made the cut.  The bolded names are currently in the Navistar Top 20.
