2011 LPGA Schedule...So Far
I'm about two months later with this post than I've been in past years because frankly, there weren't too many confirmed dates back in September. In recent weeks, several events have been confirmed (most recently Arkansas and Safeway) so here is what I have as of now:
Feb 25-28 HSBC Women's Champions
Mar 24-27 Kia Classic
Mar 31-Apr 3 Kraft Nabisco Championship
May 12-15 Bell Micro LPGA Classic
May 19-22 Sybase Match Play Championship
Jun 9-12 State Farm Classic
Jun 23-26 Wegmans LPGA Championship
Jul 7-10 U.S. Women's Open
Jul 21-24 Evian Masters
Jul 28-31 RICOH Women's British Open
Aug 19-21 Safeway Classic
Aug 25-28 CN Canadian Women's Open
Sep 9-11 Walmart NW Arkansas Championship
Oct ? Navistar LPGA Classic
Oct 27-30 LPGA Taiwan
The Jamie Farr will not be played in 2011 but has committed to a three-year deal beginning in 2012. Navistar is confirmed for 2011 but no date has been released. CVS did not renew its contract after this year's event. I have not able to find any announced dates for Thailand, Tres Marias, ShopRite or any of the fall events like Malaysia, Hana Bank, Mizuno, the Ochoa Invitational or the Tour Championship. I'm going to guess we will have at least 20 events next year and with luck, three or four more than that.
Now for the rumored additions; Atlanta is set to join the lineup if only a title sponsor can be found within the next few weeks (isn't that always the problem?). Lorena Ochoa has been involved in an effort to add San Antonio and Chicago has occasionally popped up as a possibility. While the Tour might not have the robust schedule it would like in 2011, it sounds as though the market for its product is improving.

if I recall....
The LPGA usually has to wait till the JLPGA announces its schedule to say when the Mizuno will be and much later when the KLPGA releases its schedule to say when the Hana will be….

In addition
Tres Marias, Shoprite, Malaysia, Hana Bank, Mizuno, Lorena’s event and the Tour Championship are confirmed for 2011, they just don’t have dates as of yet. Add these to the 15 you posted and that gives the LPGA 22 events for 2011. Thailand i really don’t know about. As far as rumors go, i’ve heard of potentially 2 events in China as well as a full field event in florida, south carolina and as you mentioned above, san antonio and atlanta. If by some miracle all of this was to come together for 2011 then we are looking at an official schedule of 29 events. 30 events if a sponsor is found to replace CVS.
thanks for the confirmed events info
I hadn’t seen that listed anywhere. We should see the dates along with the entire schedule in the next couple of weeks.
