LPGA TV schedule

The Tour revealed its Golf Channel TV schedule for the 2011 season today (better late than never...).  A quick glance-through shows a few surprises.  Only one - that's ONE - official event will have no television coverage this season, that being the Mizuno Classic in November.

Golf Channel airs live or tape-delayed coverage of all but three events - Mizuno, the U.S. Women's Open and the Ricoh's Women's British Open.  The latter two's rights are owned by NBC and/or ESPN.  GC also will carry the Solheim Cup in late September and will have tape-delayed coverage of every round of the events in China, Taiwan, Malaysia and Korea.  Imagine that - after ten years of events in Korea, that tournament (which is older than over half of the current Tour stops) will finally see some airtime in the States.
